2026 Update

In 2026, I will be opening a home studio for headshots and branding. The date of opening will be disclosed in a post sometime next year. I am excited for this endeavor and cannot wait to see what is in store. Be on the lookout for upcoming dates.

Rates for sessions will also increase slightly. This is being done to provide the best experience possible for current and future clients. I have held off on this as long as I possibly could as a business owner.

Also, I will be taking off the end of January and the month of February for outdoor sessions. My husband is having surgery early next year. Thanks for understanding.

The Geers

Golden hour in New Mexico means fighting shadows in different directions and many quick light changes. Despite the challenges, their gallery turned out beautifully. Ned Houk in the fall is amazing with the vast fields throughout the park. It's definitely one of my favorite locations.

Squadron Fall photos

Working with squadrons has been among my favorite sessions while stationed at Cannon AFB. For years, I have been in hangars for sessions and this past fall I finally got the opportunity to do flightline sessions. These were so much fun and the weather managed to cooperate.

In September, we have the chance of rain for most sessions, but this year it was at an increased high. There was a downpour the day before and I had my fingers crossed the whole time that we would not have to cancel. Thankfully the weather pulled through and was amazing.

The O'daniels

Working with families that you have known for a while is so much fun. We actually go to church with the O'Daniels family and it was fun to see them in front of the camera. Having kids around you have to let them "be kids" at the session. Sometimes they will look at the camera and other times, they won't. This is normal. But catching them having fun and being themselves is what makes my job worth it.

Every year families grow and kids start to show change. Parents have to embrace the early years since they go by too quickly.

Ned Houk Park in the fall is perfect for individuals, couples, and families. Yes, it is a park with a playground, but if you look at the images below the eyesores are not there. I have so many people question locations, but until you see how they photograph a location should not be judged.

Ohio: in the Fall

Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, OH, and Ashtabula Covered Bridge Trail in Ashtabula, OH, are among my favorite locations when I visit my husband's family. I typically visit this region yearly, but will be more prevalent in the future after retirement from the Air Force.
